There is a profound correlation between the illuminations in the sky, the illuminations of our chakras and our everyday life. In Astrology we look at where the planets are located at the moment of our first breath, the energy of those planets and how they affect us in this lifetime through our mind, body and spirit. There are certain moments that influence us as a collective. One of those moments is ignited through Lunar and solar eclipses. “As above, so below”. This summer has been unprecedented as we experienced 3 eclipses during this time. This Saturday, August 11th at exactly 5:57 am EST a partial eclipse will be occurring at 18 degrees in the sign of Leo. This is the beginning of a 19 year cycle. Where it shows up in your life is the way it shows up in your chart. We get a chance this weekend to revisit this time once again and the message is manifest, manifest, manifest!! Leo is the sign of the Lion. We are asked to be bold, be seen and be out there. It is a time for releasing the old in order to make space to manifest something new!!! We have had two eclipses thus far, one on the new moon in cancer at 18 degrees, which was very emotional and the second on July 27th with the full blood moon asking us to release those emotions. This pattern began back in January and October 2017 and now comes to a close.
The eclipses this summer asks the questions, “what are you here for?” Are you following your true path?” Look at where you were in 1980 and 1999 where the same energy was present. When the eclipse is in Leo we need to pay attention to our Heart Chakra and where we are going in life and what is our heart’s desire?!! The place where Leo rules in our astrology chart is where we are called to express our passion. Since May 2018 the world has shifted with Uranus in Taurus. Universe asks that all that is hidden be revealed and only the truth remain. Those who had secrets for years, can no longer hide them. Mother Earth, Gaia, is experiencing eruptions of her own. Volcanoes, Earthquakes, singeing of the land through multiple fires. She is purifying and cleaning up what lies beneath. It is difficult to witness but know that the end result is a new paradigm shift in consciousness as a collective. The last two eclipses this summer were considered “mean” in that it made us look at raw truths and places where we need to clean up our acts. The eclipse this Saturday is a wonderful energy for manifestation, coming to terms with our truth, finally discarding what is no longer useful or functional in our lives and using the exuberant, joyful Leo energy to move forward into a new way of living through dreaming big and knowing that “thoughts are things”…whatever you dream will become real. Be open to opportunities and revel in this energy. Where do you want to go in your life? In order to do so the last eclipse asked us to look at any wounds we had to deal with from ages 0-9 years old in order to heal those wounds once and for all. We need to “move on” knock down mountains and create the lives we truly want. Any blocks, hurts and fears from past events in our lives, we must let go and this energy assists us in doing so. Play, create, and move forward. What is the communication around creating partnerships? There are a lot of discussions around separating and changing past relationships….these are choice points where WE decide what we want out of life. We should not be afraid of our own dreams because universe supporting us to “GO FOR IT!!” so dream big!! Use your asanas specifically to open the heart chakra, love yourselves, be true and shine.

New Moon Eclipse Ritual – Friday-Sunday anytime
Premise of having a new moon ritual is to kick off the house in your chart where you are supposed to shine and glow.
Create a sacred space for your ritual
Call in all the directions:
East: sunrise spring air ideas
South: high noon, summer fire passion
West: sunset fall water emotions
North: midnight winter earth creation
Above: archangels, guides who work with us in peace and love, helpful ancestors
Below Fairies, elves, elementals, devas, mother earth
Use a crystal, rock (Earth), incense, feather (Air) flame (Fire). Water (Water) to represent all four elements.
Leo new moon is fire so we use fire to release the old (do not do anything with oil). You can use candles, bonfires, bbq grills, write what you want to release and burn it in the fire. Symbolically say “I’m ready to let it go” sometimes it’s something you write on a paper or if you’re more visual you can burn a picture.
Welcome in the new, visualize what you want to have come in to your life and do so by stating at the end of your manifestation request “as long as it’s for my best and highest good”, Bring it in with joy, enthusiasm and excitement. Passion ignition. Meditate and gaze at the flame. (Always make sure you have water nearby when you use fire especially during this fire eclipse)
Thank the elements, directions and energies and release them.
